VIBRATION CONDITION MONITORING SENSORS AND HARDWARE
Get early warning on machine problems
Before a machine fails and stops production – get Canary sensors and smart data loggers in place, as part of a condition monitoring system.
More than vibration condition monitoring for machines
In the old days, the health of a machine was assessed by how much it vibrated. Vibration is still an important condition monitoring parameter, along with many more.
Parameters we typically measure:
- Vibration – triaxial
- Acoustic Emission
- Temperature
- Speed
- Ultrasonic
- Electric Current
- Humidity
- Oil Condition
- And more
We adapt our data loggers to measure from 1 to 185 parameters, depending on what’s needed.
Each machine gets a custom-scoped solution.
The Failure Modes we detect
Our highly sensitive Canary data loggers pick up deviations long before others do. (Which is why we design and manufacture our own sensors.)
- Imbalance
- Misalignment
- Looseness
- Gear Mesh
- Bearing Wear
- Overload
- Vibration monitoring
- Lack of Lubrication
- Over-temperature
Highly Sensitive Canary sensors and dataloggers
We are the only condition monitoring company in South Africa that makes our own sensors and smart data loggers – from the ground up.
The sensors pick up deviations long before others would. In this example, a grain of sugar drops onto a huge 60 kg plate.
Our precision sensors work in sync with the Motornostix condition monitoring system.
Software Integrations
We offer a full end-to-end solution including the hardware, software and people behind the service.
Additionally, Motornostix can integrate directly with your maintenance systems, so that a detected issue flows into a work request.
CMMS Integration
We integrate with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP and OnKey, to automatically generate work requests from issues we detect.
API Access
For clients who want a tailored connection, our Application Programming Interface (API) supports custom integration.
File-Based Data Transfer
Where a direct system integration isn’t in place, we can upload monitoring data to an FTTP site for you.
The old ways which people used to check machine health:
An MRO would manually assess sounds and vibrations
Periodic checks with handheld data loggers
Inline sensors providing data which is tedious to analyse.
In real life, the data can be unreliable, or difficult to interpret; so it gets overlooked when people get busy.
Trends get missed. The data is often acted on too late.
We can all agree that sensors alone do not help unless:
- You know what’s important to measure.
- The data gets continuously monitored.
- We look through the noise, detect faults and recommend actions.
- When there are anomalies, they get followed up, and followed up and followed up, until it’s been done.
It’s not a fix, until it’s validated as an effective fix.
Canary sensors are only available as part of the Motornostix Condition Monitoring System.
Because this is the only way to save machines from early failure.
About Motornostix condition monitoring systems
Our condition monitoring system includes:
- Canary sensors, and hardware
- the interpretive software and
- our active people monitoring service.
We provide you with actionable recommendations. Because we don’t want data to pile up without people taking action on the data – or what’s the point?
When Condition Monitoring is done in our people way, the systems more than pay for themselves.
We don’t want you to dig through piles of data
Our experts assess the data and provide you with recommendations for preventative action.
And then we track it until the case is closed.
