Both trend and wavescan data received at the Motornostix Datacentre is processed and analysed automatically using software developed by Motornostix. Trend measurements are checked against specified alert levels and conditions.  If these are breached, alert states are set, and SMS messages and emails are dispatched.

Wavescan data is subject to full spectrum analysis using Fast Fourier Transform methods.  Frequency components are extracted and compared against profiles that may have been set for alert purposes, and frequency trends are created and stored.

The Motornostix Web Application is the primary analyst's tool for inspecting and subjecting the data to advanced analysis and reporting.  Developed by Motornostix, it incorporates standard vibration analysis features, as well as some that are unique to Motornostix.

Because historical data is available at any time, powerful trend views and comparisons are possible. The tools for analysing wavescan data include viewing both time domain and frequency domain in acceleration, velocity and displacement in both logarithmic and linear scales; order analysis,  harmonic marking and checking; bearing frequency information; Hilbert transform demodulation; cepstrum analysis; spectrum averaging; peak reporting; spectrum profiles and footprints; 3D views and zooming features.
